SPRK.global (pronounced: SPARK) is the latest venture of Alexander Piutti (WG 96). SPRK.global's mission is to eliminate food waste in the global supply chain through state-of-the-art technology. SPRK recently made global 1st place the 'Smart Cities’ category in the prestigious XTC's Extreme Tech Challenge competition.
After his involvement with Global Venture Partners, Overture (sold to Yahoo! for $1.6 bn), GameGenetics, Bjooli, SirPlus, and Rehago, Alex now focuses on impact entrepreneurship to create for-profit ventures at the interface of global problems, technology and purpose.
Alex also serves as sparring partner for NGOs and corporate executives, e.g. Samsung, VW/Volkswagen, Deutsche Post/DHL, Deutsche Bahn as well as for the City of Berlin and for the United Nations, helping them to execute their innovation roadmap.
Alex graduated from Wharton's Lauder Program in 1996.
