Travel to Munich
Munich is very well connected and easy to reach by both air and rail.
Arrival by plane
Munich Airport (MUC) is the main international gateway with excellent global and European connections.
From the airport, take the S-Bahn lines S1 or S8 directly to Munich Hauptbahnhof (Central Station). The journey takes approximately 40–45 minutes, with frequent departures throughout the day.
Arrival by train
Munich Hauptbahnhof (Central Station) is one of Europe’s major rail hubs with direct high-speed connections from cities such as Berlin, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Vienna, Zurich, Milan, and Paris.
From Munich Central Station to Munich Urban Colab
The conference venue, Munich Urban Colab (Freddie-Mercury-Str. 5, 80797 Munich), is easily accessible from the Central Station:
- Approximately 10–15 minutes by taxi, or
- Via public transport (U-Bahn U1/U7 to Stiglmaierplatz or Maillingerstraße, followed by a short walk)

- We recommend using public transport, as parking in the city centre is limited
- During peak hours, trains and stations can be busy — please allow extra travel time
