We are pleased to invite you to a special evening in Frankfurt on Thursday, October 8, 2026, at 7:00 PM, featuring a provocative perspective on the geopolitical transformation unfolding around us.
Dr. Vladimir Donskoi argues that we are already living through the Third World War. No war has been formally declared, bombs are not falling, and everyday life continues much as before. Yet, in his view, the world is undergoing a systemic disruption comparable in historical significance to 1914 and 1939 – one that is already reshaping the international order.
Drawing on a neorealist and deliberately non-partisan perspective, Donskoi will examine the forces driving today’s confrontation, challenge some of our assumptions about war, and explore what the First and Second World Wars can teach us about the world that may emerge from the current disruption.
Expect evidence, uncomfortable historical comparisons, and conclusions likely to spark a lively discussion – followed by a drink and a light snack.
The event will take place in the former apartment of Otto Apel, one of the architects who helped shape postwar Frankfurt – a distinctive and evocative setting for an evening of ideas, discussion, and exchange.

Dr. Vladimir Donskoi studied politics at Oxford and Harvard and holds an Oxford doctorate on political decision-making in international crises. Today, he works as an executive coach and international consultant, advising leaders and organizations on complex strategic and geopolitical questions.
